Mill End mini & elopement weddings

An elopement wedding is all about the two of you creating what you want, without all the frills, and Mill End can help you create an intimate, relaxed and truly special time for you both. Stay in the four poster room with the free-standing bath and get married in the barn, green oak and glass room or in a bedouin tent on the lawn. Or even in local woodland. Choose a theme and have the house dressed in a style to meet YOUR wishes and visual inspiration. Or keep it simple. Just you, immediate family and your closest friends - then when you are ready - organise the party of a lifetime later - without the need to fret about menus, seating plans and huge budgets. You can just hire the house and do your own thing or have us dress and theme it and cater for you for the quirky and creative fun filled mini wedding of your dreams. liz@millendmitcheldean.co.uk

Mill End also offers hand fasting ceremonies, wakes & celebration gatherings of a person’s life. Please email us to find out what we can do.

Why not arrive early or extend your hen party stay to include a marriage too? Come for a hen party for the girls with space for the boys to hang out and take part in some shooting or take a brewery tour in the village (no gender stereotypes here!) on the eve or day of your arrival. Have a pre-wedding dinner or buffet and finally wake up on the morning of the wedding in the four poster room together, have an artisan mediterranean style wedding breakfast and welcome your hair & beauty team to Mill End if you wish. There are various options in and out of the house and in local woodland - see our mini wedding page - for themed dining and being married or blessed by our in-house celebrant. On your morning of departure have a Bordello Banquets Full English Breakfast with a Forest of Dean twist to set everyone up for the journey home. Enquiries to Bordello Banquets.

We also specialise in events "to mark or celebrate a significant milestone in a person’s life, according to their religion or belief" - or lack of belief.

These can include "events to celebrate a rite of passage or entry into a particular faith or coming of age".

Or an event to mark a person’s death or celebrate their life following their death.
